About
For 15 years I worked in the innercity of Tshwane (Pretoria) South Africa and for 10 of those 15 years as pastor of a multi-cultural innercity Lutheran congregation (2000-2010). During these years in the congregation I wrote my first PhD in Theology (University of Pretoria), seeking an ecclesiology that responds to the challenges of postmodernity and globalisation. After these 15 years in ministry I have entered full time academia, working in the Faculty of Theology of the University of Pretoria. The second PhD was in Philosophy of Religion (VU Amsterdam) on the limits and possibilities of postmetaphysical God-talk: a conversation between Heidegger, Levinas and Derrida.
